Annihilation by Katie Salidas

Death is the easy way out.
Still clinging rabidly to power, the Elites spin lies of prejudice and hatred, stoking the fires of war.
The sole driving force toward peace, Mira sacrificed everything for the cause. In the end, strong as she was, Mira was never enough.
It will take the strength of many to finish what she started, and everyone: Otherkin, human, and vampire have much to lose in the bloody days ahead.
The only outcomes are peace… or death.

My Review:
I have been waiting for this book to come out as its the sixth and final book in the Chronicles series.   Book 6 picked up where the last one ended, with Mira and her friends still peace for the Otherkin.  No I'm not going to give spoilers but this book was a great conclusion to an amazing series. I am sad to see Mira's story end because we have come a long way with her and have seen her grow as an individual.  On a side note I'm happy to see a happy ending for Lucien :)

The author did a fantastic job with this series as they are all action packed and have you on the edge of your seat.  If you are unsure about this series, don't hesitate!  Pick up book 1 today (or 6 if you have already the first 5 lol)

Because of You by RaShelle Workman

Maddie and Kyle were inseparable growing up; both promising to be each other's firsts.  That is until one day Maddie's parents are murdered and Kyle's father is one of the murders.  Maddie moves in with her Aunt & Uncle and her relationship with Kyle soon dies.  Years later while at college, Maddie discovers that Kyle goes to the same one.  Will her feelings for Kyle resurface or will Maddie be able to get over that fact that his father had something to do with the death of her parents??

I really enjoyed this book.  Both Maddie and Kyle has had a hard life and has a lot to deal with both individually and together.  The story is well written and RaShelle does a great job of combining both a very hard subject with romance throughout the book.

Highly recommended!
