At least she has Kyden, the smoldering hot elite guardian who’s been there for her every step of the way. But just as Nexi completes her training, tragedy strikes the Otherworld when a fellow guardian is murdered by a group of rogue vampires. Ready or not, she and Kyden trek into the Earthworld to hunt down a killer—and Nexi alone will be put to the ultimate test.

Although Kyden knows that Nexi must fight her own battles, his guardian instincts are raging as he struggles to keep her close. The ruthlessness of these vampires is like nothing he’s ever seen. And at their helm is the Black Witch Astoria, a demon with one burning desire: to shed Nexi’s blood in the name of vengeance. What troubles Kyden even more, though, is the warlock who covets Nexi’s heart. Let the devil do his worst . . . all Kyden can do is love and protect Nexi until his last breath.

STACEY KENNEDY is the USA Today bestselling author of the CLUB SIN series. Growing up, Stacey’s mind wandered the path less traveled and that path most often led to love. She has always broken rules and she continues to feed off emotion – staying true to her heart. Those traits are now the bones of her stories. Kismet by K.A. Poe

Beware. Sometimes you get what you ask for.
Sixteen-year-old Madison Banner had the perfect life: a good home, great friends, and loving parents. Everything was normal, until she overheard that she had been adopted.

After confronting her parents, Madison was left with more questions than what had been answered. Rules were set. She would be told the truth after she graduated -- two years.

As Madison pries into the secrets of her heritage, she discovers more than she ever bargained for. Strange things begin to happen. Dreams of a mysterious nightly visitor seem all too real. A power within her awakens. There was more handed down through her DNA than dark hair and purple eyes. She has been given a destiny, whether she wanted it or not.

My review:

Madison thought her life was normal but that all changed the day she found out she was adopted but that was just the beginning.

This is the first book in a series and I have to tell you I am looking very forward to the next books in this one.  This books was so hard to put down as the storyline as well as the characters were great!  K.A. Poe pulls you into the story and you feel every emotion and that you are actually there making it way too hard to put the book down!  This is a great start to a fantastic series!!

Never Let Me Go (Part 2) by Jessica Gibson

Trust. A little word that means so much.

Grace Deleo wanted to jump. She wanted to dive headfirst into love with Logan. The one thing that was missing was trust. If she couldn’t trust him, how could she love him?

Logan McFadden knew he had screwed up the best thing he had going for him. All he had to do was tell the truth and it all would be ok. But trust goes both ways. Could he trust Grace with his secrets?

Can they learn to trust each other and let love win?

My review:

This book picks right up where the first left off, Grace unsure if she can trust Logan if he continues to hide things from her.  This installment shows you that if you love someone, you will do everything in your power to make them see that even if it means moving across the country to do this.  I love the dynamic of the Deleo woman and how if you want to win the love/trust of one, you need to win the trust/love of all J  That is just awesome!!!  If you loved the first book, you are going to love the second one!!

The Fall of Sky (Part 2) by Alexia Purdy

You can never go back. At least, that’s what they say…

Liv and Audrey Westing have found something they’ve chased their entire lives, but could never quite reach. Love. It comes with the steepest of prices. One they both know they might not be able to pay, even with their hearts.

Jonas wants more than Liv can give.

Saul can’t watch Audrey save her sister anymore.

Emilio, Saul’s brother, is hiding his own secrets buried deep inside. Secrets that are the difference between life and death…

With the Jonas’ Cartel watching their every move, Liv and Audrey know there’s no place to run anymore. No place to hide.

Maybe the fall is worth the pain…

My Review:

This installment of The Fall of Sky was just as good as the first one if not better.  The relationships that are building with the sisters is intriguing.  There is so much that could happen and you only hope that there is a break for Liv and Audrey and that something good will come out of everything.  I am truly enjoy seeing the girls grow and figure out that sometimes you need to make a choice for yourself.  Very much looking forward to the third installment!!

The Fall of Sky by Alexia Purdy

Sisters Audrey and Liv Westing find that living on the edge turns out to be a bit different than what they thought.
This singing duo hoped to be discovered as the next big thing while fumbling through their turbulent existences. Each one is struggling to come to terms with their addictive personalities, a trail of destructive relationships, and the consequences of every misstep they unknowingly take.

When they attract the eye of a deadly but powerful Cartel family, Liv’s flighty decisions send the sisters spiraling into a world of sketchy music deals, sexy assassins and unfathomable demands from those who want nothing more than to own every piece of them.

In a place where love will kill, it demands a steep price which may be too high to keep Audrey and Liv’s fragile world from a swift crash and burn…

My Review:

Audrey and Liv are trying to get their music career going but that is not easy with Liv getting involved with a big, powerful Cartel family and now the girls are on the run.  Along the way on one of their stops, the girls pick up a rider named Saul and a friendship starts amongst the trio.  Can the groups career take off or will Liv’s past bad decisions catch up to them??

OMG right from the beginning you are pulled into the girls world of survival.  Each girl has a unique personality that add so much to the story.  Then you have the addition of Saul, a blind man whom Audrey can’t stop thinking about, who adds that much more to the tale.  I was totally engrossed in the Liv’s side of the story (don’t get me wrong, the budding relationship with Audrey and Saul is good), she is a strong girl that will do anything to help them out although not always making the right decision.  Once again Alexia pulls you into her story making you curse her for ending the book ;)   I definitely look forward to seeing what is in store for the girls in the next book
The Fall of Sky (Part 2)

Eventide by K.A. Poe

THE WAR is just beginning.
Although Madison successfully saved Mathias and her father, Silas escaped. Overcome with conflict between reuniting with Mathias and the relationship she inadvertently built with Alan, Madison retreats into her own thoughts. Should she make a life with the white-haired boy she worked so hard to save? Or with the one who's been capturing her heart? If that isn’t bad enough, she also feels lost on how to connect with a father she’s never known.

Madison’s relationship struggles are cut short when she and her allies receive a phone call. Just hours after Silas stole Mathias’s gift and shimmered away, Haven has been attacked. There are casualties. But could he have gotten all the way to America so quickly?

As tensions rise on all fronts, one thing is clear – they may have won a battle, but the War has just begun.

My review:

Madison and everyone is still recouping from the Mathias and Salem’s rescue mission but as they are still in Romania Madison learns that Haven was attacked.  Madison feels that things will never look good and she will always be at war with other forces; the main one being her brother Silas (the evil twin).

Madison not only is dealing with the tragic events that kept happening but she is now struggling with her feelings…does she go with Mathias; the boy who stole her heart from the beginning or Alan whom is taking it over??

OMG this books is just as good if not better than the others!!  There is just so much that is happening to Madison and her friends that I am flabbergasted!  Then to top it off now she has to deal with werewolves---can’t they catch a break??  KA does a great job of writing the storyline so that everything flows smoothly and is captivating!  I am so ready for the next book of the series!!!

Solstice by K.A. Poe

DESTINIES aren't always written in stone.
There was one thing in Madison’s life keeping her grounded, but now he is gone too, stolen from her by the Nefastus leader Constantine. Along with Mathias, Chloe, Noah’s younger sister, has been taken to Romania – the same place where both Salem and Silas wait. But is it just a coincidence? Hannah thinks not.

Madison knows she must pursue them; she must save them all, but it seems once again as if she is the only one ready to take action. She has a secret though; a ticket that once uttered will send her mother in a frenzy to get to Romania, to reunite with a husband she thought was no more. Will she give her mother what she has wanted for sixteen years, or continue to hold it in? Is it truly a coincidence that both the Nefastus and Silas are now in Romania? And if not, is this all a trap? One thing is for certain, Madison’s destiny will be put to the test and some will remain in the country of the vampires forever.

My review:

Book 2 picked up where the first one left off.  Mathias and Chloe are now in Romania with Salem and Silas; Madison wants to go save Matias now but knows she is not ready to fight them and to make it worse she can’t tell her mother that Salem is alive because than she would rush over to save him.  Can Madison learn everything she needs too in order to save those that she loves in time?

OMG this series is just amazing!  I absolutely love the intrigue and suspense of the story! KA does a great job of keeping the reader enthralled in the storyline and characters making it way too hard to stop reading (I kept finding myself having a hard time to put the book down just to go to bed LOL).  Madison may only be a young girl but she has had to grow up so fast in such a short time and then to make it all worse things just don’t ever seem to get easy for her.   Definitely a must read series!!!

She can’t afford such distractions, and she definitely can’t afford to worry about the fact that her mate, master vampire Thomas Kendrick, hasn’t spoken to her since she saved him from a demon—maybe it’s because she had to stab him to do so. Praise for BLACK MOON DRAW: “Lizzy Ford has done it again. She has created a story her fans are going to love and one that is different from so many others out there. The reader is transported into the book she is reading. . . I think that this is a story about believing in yourself and not letting what others say or how they treat you, stop you from that. In the end, it's about what you believe yourself capable of and not be scared to venture out of your comfort zone. I loved it!”—Cindy, Goodreads reader

My review:

Naia was just dumped and what better way to forget everything than to emerse yourself in a book, right?  Well Naia does this but soon finds herself in the middle of the story that she has been reading (What??? That’s like everyone’s dream right??)  Naia is now caught in a world that she doesn’t know the ending too and hopes that if she helps out she will be able to go home.

Lizzy has created a story that all readers can only dream would happen…to be a part of the story you are reading; living it out.   She has created a fantastic tale that is fun and captivating that you can’t help but keep reading.  Definitely a must read for any fan of Lizzy Ford or if you are looking for a fun, unique story.

Vampire Secrets by RaShelle Workman

A dream is a wish your heart makes... It's been a month since Jasmine agreed to the wish that would keep Laeddin safe. By all accounts she should be happy. She's attending high school, hanging out with friends, and spending time withLaeddin. but she isn't. Ever since the sorceress ripped away a part of her, she hasn't felt like herself. To make matters worse, the man with red eyes, the one that haunted her dreams, is appearing in real life. And demonic creatures keep showing up in Salem. The question on both counts is why? Jasmine must figure out who the man is and what the creatures want. Thankfully, she isn't alone. Laeddin, Peter, Zoe, and some friends from the mansion next door will help. And then there's the sorceress. she's using what she took from Jasmine to inflict havoc on the human realm as well as other realms.

My review:

This is book 2 of the Blood and Snow Season 2 series and it started right where Book 1 left off with Jasmine just having her wrings removed by Maleficient.  Jasmine just doesn’t feel the same afterwards and is trying to deal with the loss as well as still adapting to being in the human world..  Now that she is a somewhat normal teenarger, Jasmine can’t help wonder who these Akuma are and what they want.  Its up to her, Peter, Zoe. Laeddin and others from next door (yup, Professor Pops is back!!).  Then to make matters worse Christopher (the main in Jasmine’s dreams) is back and he wants what he feels is his.

This book was awesome!  I absolutely love the Blood and Snow series and I am loving Jasmine’s story as she is a powerful character and has a lot for us to learn about.  Rashelle is an amazing author!  I love how she takes a classic tale and puts a spin on to it, making you love them even more.  This story (as well as the others) pulls you in and you can’t help but feel like you are living the story yourself (one of the qualities I look for in a good a book).  I can’t wait to read the next installment!

If you are looking for a good “fairy tale” than pick this one up!!!

Dark Promises by Julia Crane

Rylie has it all - great friends, dream boy, loving family. But on the eve of her sixteenth birthday, her perfect little world shatters. A stranger claiming to be her real mother appears with a secret: Rylie is a faery whose powers will be unleashed on her birthday. Captured and forced into a new life, Rylie struggles to keep everything she loves and discovers a terrifying truth: some promises cannot be broken.

Rylie is just like your typical teenager looking forward to her sixteenth birthday when one night everything changes and she is thrown into a world she thought was just make believe.  Having to accept the fact that she is a fairy and everything she loves may be lost.

I absolutely loved this story by Julia.  You have a girl who’s world is turned upside down and is struggling to come to grips with it.  Rylie accepts who/what she is and learns things about herself was held from her (for her protection).  Julie wrote the story fantastically! I was pulled into Rylie’s world and was there with her through the whole journey.  I look forward to seeing what is store for Rylie next and can’t wait to read the next book!  Definitely a must read!!

By @JAHuss
Publication Date: November 5, 2014
Novella (176 pages)
Adult Contemporary Romance

I just want my Grace back. I want the girl I found sending me dirty tweets on Saint Thomas. I want the girl who reluctantly gave in to my charms and let me boss her around. I want the girl who sent me to my knees and made me imagine what her fairy tale would look likewith me in it.

I just want to move on.I want everything she ever wanted, and I want us to make it happen together. But the media needs more from us. More dirt. More pain. More payment for past transgressions.

You can’t change the past. And even though Grace is ready to put her demons to bed, mine are just starting to get restless. Because when you’ve silenced as many enemies as I have, you know that secret won’t stay buried forever.

J. A. Huss likes to write new adult books that make you think and keep you guessing. She has an undergraduate degree in horses, (yes, really–Thank you, Colorado State University) and a master’s degree in forensic toxicology from the University of Florida. She used to have a job driving around Colorado doing pretty much nothing but shooting the breeze with farmers, but now she just writes, runs the New Adult Addiction and Clean Teen Reads Book Blogs, and runs an online science classroom for homeschoolers.

I wrap my arms around her, pulling her to me as I begin to move us to the music.
“Are you trying to seduce me, Mr Roberts?” she smiles.
“Is it working?” I grin.
“Always, you don’t need to try though, you had me months ago.” she tells me, resting her head on my chest.
We continue to move to the music, dancing our way around the lounge, over to the window and back again. If I could take a snapshot of key moments in our relationship, right now would be one of those moments. As the song comes to an end and another starts up, I step back, looking down into her beautiful face.
“You are so incredibly beautiful, Sophie.” I tell her.
“Thank you.” she blushes.
