by Roxy BoroughsThis holiday season, April Rochester must decide if her first love is merely “Home for Christmas” – or home for good. James Frost, the black sheep of the family, is back in Carol Falls, Vermont, to build a big box store and prove he’s a success. His plans derail when he learns his high school sweetheart has moved back to town also, along with her autistic son, Marcus. Ten years ago Jimmy and April eloped, only to be torn apart when April’s parents insisted on an annulment. Their love for each other never died, however, and this could be their second chance. But James has been hiding behind a mountain of secrets, one of them involving baby Holly, the abandoned child recently found at the family farm. And all of James’ well-kept secrets are about to come tumbling down. HOME FOR CHRISTMAS, a 40,000 word sweet romance novella, is Book Two of ‘A Frost Family Christmas’ trilogy. Each novella is a complete romance with a linking mystery connecting the three books.

Tis the season to read holiday themed books and this one was perfect. First, it takes place in Vermont (being from there this was a huge plus). I truly loved reading and knew where they were talking about and it really made it easy to get absorbed into the story & attach yourself to the characters. Second, a love story of two people who were once in love and about to get married but were forced apart. Finally, the story of a man trying to figure out who truly is.
James was always the one that his family didn't expect to work on the farm and was always the "rebel" of the town. April was the girl that fell for this guy and loved him for who he was. Both characters have grown up and although they still have feelings for each other are unsure if they are truly right for each other.
The story is well written, the characters are well defined both combining together to make the perfect story. I will be reading the first and last book in this series to find out more about James' brother and of Baby Holly.
If you are looking for a great story that is holiday themed, than pick this one up!
