Guest post -"Mirror Deep" by Joss Landry

Mirror Deep by Joss Landry

…Roll like thunder in Kat Bonner’s world, when a known felon comes to the ranch to drop a bomb about her past. Kat turns to Pierce for help, the same Pierce who bucks her every chance he gets … and whose feverish investigation lands them in trouble with the law and directly in the path of a serial killer.

Mystery deepens, fraught with wrong turns, bumbling detectives, old murders, and Kat’s doppelganger no one ever sees but her, just as she never sees the change in Pierce’s feelings toward her brewing, mounting, until she can no longer deny them.

I am proud to be part of this blog tour. Meeting all these wonderful mentors allows me to take Mirror Deep out into the world, a little like when as a mom, I held my child’s hand and walked her to school for the first time. This is what writing is for me. I bring life into characters I get to know and love and hope they will find a niche and make tons of friends.

Took me two months to write Mirror Deep, then many more months to craft the story into something I thought readers might enjoy. I am picky, and I like all the angles and subplots to be just right.

Katherine Bonner is a beauty. She leads an enchanting life. Wish I had that kind of life. Until she discovers she was born from another mother, one who recently died. This is what upsets Kat the most. The fact she never had a chance to get a hug or catch a smile from the mother who gave her life.

Pierce Bonner, her pesky, handsome second cousin runs the Bonner-Willow ranch. He’s a CEO who graduated from Princeton, but who shares an office with Andalusian horses. The chemistry between them would ignite the big screen, I’ve been told. Their attraction is palpable, even if Kat is stuck in the grips of a terrifying puzzle. I would love to get your impression on Mirror Deep.
