Isis can control her dreams. Or she couldn't until recently. The creature in her nightmares has been haunting her for months. As if being dumped wasn’t bad enough, now she dreads going to sleep. She decides to confront the creature and win back some of her peace; only, she finds that he’s not a monster and he’s not a dream.
A sacrifice for love, a shocking discovery and a jealous ex-boyfriend blur the lines between reality and dreams, making it hard to tell who the real monsters are.
Who would’ve known…that sometimes love is lethal?
About the Author
Isis has gone through a lot with the breakup of her boyfriend (whom does this via text) and terrible nightmares which declare her an insomniac. Her doctor puts her medication to help aide this but she is still plagued by a man named David. Isis finally decides enough is enough and challenges David to prove that he is real and not just her imagination. Low and behold David appears at school as a new student.
Isis learns that what she has always thought were tales may just be real and that David himself is a deity (an immortal). While things are going good with David, her ex comes back to town but he isn’t the same…With the arrival of her ex, David and Isis learn (or confirm) that she is not like everyone else and that evil is there to stop her and that their love isn’t meant to be.
Isis is a strong character who knows what she wants or doesn’t want and won’t let anyone tell her differently. David and all of the other characters (ranging from her friends to his family) are depicted perfectly and you can easily pick out your favorites or not so favorite ones The story is well written with everything ranging from mythology, romance and little bit of action all rolled up into one.
